Ihre Wunden sind gut verheilt, aber die Narben haben ihren Genitalbereich deformiert, so da\u00df sie nur schwer Harn absetzen kann. Dieser sammelt sich immer in einer kleinen Hauttasche, die bei der Vernarbung entstand. Es wird ein relativ kleiner Eingriff n\u00f6tig sein, aber wir warten damit noch, bis sie ein wenig kr\u00e4ftiger ist. Auch <strong>Mwashotis<\/strong> Wunden verheilen gut, besser als unsere wildesten Vorstellungen. Sein Bein war durch eine Kabelschlinge schwer verwundet, aber inzwischen sind vier Monate Behandlung ins Land gegangen, und er kann sein Bein wieder fast normal benutzen. <strong>Mwashoti<\/strong> geh\u00f6rt zur Baby-Gruppe, da wir ihn bisher noch nicht zum \u00f6ffentlichen Schlammbad lassen konnten. Seine Manieren lassen manchmal etwas zu W\u00fcnschen \u00fcbrig, besonders wenn er den \u00c4lteren gegen\u00fcber aufm\u00fcpfig wird, die auch kein Problem damit haben, ihn zu bestrafen. Dann m\u00fcssen die Keeper hin und wieder eingreifen!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6973\" src=\"http:\/\/www.reaev.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/2015\/07\/Boromoko-Kamok-26.jpg\" alt=\"Nairobi orphans\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/reaev.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/2015\/07\/Boromoko-Kamok-26.jpg 800w, https:\/\/reaev.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/2015\/07\/Boromoko-Kamok-26-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/reaev.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/2015\/07\/Boromoko-Kamok-26-200x134.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Die L\u00f6wen waren in diesem Monat des \u00c3\u2013fteren in der N\u00e4he des Stallgel\u00e4ndes und die Keeper mu\u00dften dann besonders auf die Strau\u00dfenv\u00f6gel Pea und Pod (engl. <em>Erbse<\/em> und <em>Schote<\/em>) achtgeben. Am 20. Juni hatte eine der L\u00f6winnen versucht, sich einen der Strau\u00dfen zu schnappen, aber die Keeper haben zum Gl\u00fcck gut aufgepa\u00dft und konnten sie verjagen, bevor ein Ungl\u00fcck geschah.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Klein <strong>Ndotto<\/strong>, <strong>Lasayen<\/strong> und <strong>Ngilai<\/strong> waren diesen Monat besonders ausgelassen, und die Strau\u00dfen haben sich oft an den Spielereien beteiligt. Es ist einfach reizend zu beobachten, wenn die winzigen Elefanten mit den sie k\u00f6rperlich um Einiges \u00fcberragenden Strau\u00dfen spielen. <strong>Mbegu<\/strong> und <strong>Kamok<\/strong> sind die Babysitter der Kleinen und liegen gerne einmal auf dem Boden, so da\u00df ihre Sch\u00fctzlinge auf sie hinauf klettern k\u00f6nnen. <strong>Kamok<\/strong> erlaupt <strong>Ngilai<\/strong> sogar, an ihren Ohren zu saugen. Er ist so vernarrt in sie, da\u00df sie ihn manchmal vom Rest der Gruppe weglockt und die beiden zusammen durch die B\u00fcsche rennen, sich mit Dreck bewerfen oder einfach zusammen spazieren und fressen. <strong>Kamok<\/strong> scheint Muttergef\u00fchle entwickelt zu haben, und <strong>Ngilai<\/strong> ist ein sehr verh\u00e4tscheltes und gl\u00fcckliches kleines Elefantenbaby.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ura kam auf besonders tragische Weise Ende letzten Monats mit einem gebrochenen Bein zu uns. Der Bruch war so kompliziert, da\u00df wir sowohl lokale als auch internationale Tier\u00e4rzte zu weiteren Schritten konsultieren mu\u00dften. Am 5. Juni, nach allen Abw\u00e4gungen, mu\u00dften wir ihn schweren Herzens einschl\u00e4fern, um ihm weiteres Leid und Schmerzen abzunehmen.<br \/>\nJeden Freitag werden die Waisen von den Keepern mit Kokosnu\u00df\u00f6l eingerieben, das wir in gro\u00dfen F\u00e4ssern lagern. Die Behandlung ist gut f\u00fcr ihre Haut, aber auch f\u00fcr ihre gesamtk\u00f6rperliche Verfassung, denn einige der pflanzlichen Fette werden von den kleinen K\u00f6rpern so absorbiert wie Fette in der Elefantenmilch.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elkerama<\/strong>, der Ende letzten Monats zu uns kam, macht sich gut und ist deutlich ruhiger geworden. Ende Juni durfte er erstmals mit zum Schlammbad und der privaten Besuchsstunde um 15 Uhr und hatte nichts mehr gegen die Keeper in seinem Stall einzuwenden. Unter seinem Kinn hatte er eine Schwellung, die wir der Parasitenerkrankung zuschrieben, die er hatte als er bei uns eintraf. Aber auch diese Schwellung war Ende Juni verschwunden. Seine k\u00f6rperlicher Zustand bessert sich t\u00e4glich und er scheint in der Nursery-Gruppe angekommen zu sein und neue Freundschaften geschlossen zu haben. <strong>Ngilai<\/strong> h\u00e4ngt sehr an ihm und auch er besch\u00e4ftigt sich sehr gern mit <strong>Ngilai<\/strong> (so wie auch <strong>Mbegu<\/strong>, <strong>Kamok<\/strong> und <strong>Mwashoti<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Am 23. Juni hatten wir die erste Rettungsaktion des Monats. Wir erhielten einen Anruf von der Simba-Farm in Rumuruti, da\u00df man ein etwa einj\u00e4hriges Elefantenkalb gesichtet hatte. <strong>Simotua<\/strong> wurde mit schlimmsten Verletzungen geborgen: eine Schlingfalle im Bein und eine Speerwunde im Kopf! Die Wunden und seine ohnehin schwache k\u00f6rperliche Verfassung haben den R\u00fccktransport zu einer wahren Tortur gemacht. Wir waren beeindruckt von seinem immensen \u00dcberlebenswillen und sind inzwischen \u00fcberzeugt, da\u00df er es schafft, auch wenn seine Genesung lange dauern wird.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Am 26. Juni folgte das n\u00e4chste Elefantenbaby, dieses Mal aus der Masai Mara. Warum er von seiner Familie getrennt wurde, wird f\u00fcr immer ein Geheimnis bleiben. Der kleine, graue Zwerg wurde mutterseelenallein auf einer riesigen Wiese gefunden, ohne irgendeine Spur von Elefanten weit und breit. Mit Hinblick auf seinen durch Parasiten v\u00f6llig aufgedunsenen Bauch und sein schrecklich abgemagertes Gesicht, schlie\u00dfen wir darauf, da\u00df er schon l\u00e4nger von seiner Mutter getrennt ist. Von seiner schlechten Physis einmal abgesehen, war das Erstaunlichste, da\u00df er im Prinzip zahm bei uns ankam! Er war zu sp\u00e4t abends geborgen worden als da\u00df man noch ein Rettungsflugzeug schicken konnte. Man brachte ihn \u00fcber Nacht in einem offenen Traktorenanh\u00e4nger unter, der r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts unter ein Dach gefahren wurde (es sch\u00fcttete wie aus Eimern). Am n\u00e4chsten Morgen war er &#8211; verschwunden! Irgendwie ist es ihm gelungen, aus dem H\u00e4nger zu klettern und herunterzuspringen. Zum Gl\u00fcck haben wir ihn schnell gefunden, und er wurde in die Nursery nach Nairobi gebracht. Es dauerte nur wenige Minuten, da trank er aus einer Flasche und saugte an den Fingern der Keeper! Wenige Tage sp\u00e4ter war er mit den anderen im Wald. Er war bereit f\u00fcr seine Rettung, wollte unbedingt Gesellschaft und sein neues Heim in der Nursery mit Milch, Elefanten und Aufmerksamkeit scheinen f\u00fcr ihn ein Segen zu sein. Wir haben ihm den wunderh\u00fcbschen Namen <strong>Tusuja<\/strong> gegeben &#8211; in der Sprache der <em>Maa<\/em> \u201ejmd.\/etw. ihrem neuen Zuhause und haben sich eingelebt, als w\u00e4ren sie nur kurz weg gewesen. Sie werden von allen Jungk\u00fchen sowie den weiblichen Ex-Waisen <strong>Sidai<\/strong>, <strong>Lenana<\/strong> und <strong>Chyulu<\/strong> verg\u00f6ttert und lieben die Kontakte zu den \u00e4lteren und auch wilden Elefanten. <strong>Kainuk<\/strong> h\u00e4ngt besonders an <strong>Lemoyian<\/strong> und wird regelrecht eifers\u00fcchtig, wenn die \u00e4lteren Waisen mit ihm Zeit verbringen wollen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Klein <strong>Garzi<\/strong> war bis vor Kurzem das Nesth\u00e4kchen und freut sich, da\u00df er jetzt nicht mehr der Kleinste ist. Er demonstriert das eindrucksvoll, indem er die Neuzug\u00e4nge st\u00e4ndig besteigen will. Dann bekommt er es aber meistens mit <strong>Sities<\/strong>, <strong>Turkwel<\/strong> und <strong>Kainuk<\/strong> zu tun. Die jungen K\u00fche lassen <strong>Garzi<\/strong> keinen Moment aus den Augen, um seine \u00dcbergriffe rechtzeitig zu verhindern!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Tsavo hat die kalte Jahreszeit begonnen, und das W\u00e4lzen im Dreck ist derzeit die Lieblingsaktivit\u00e4t der Elefanten. Das Schlammbaden findet nur noch an manchen Tagen und mittags statt. Es gibt nur einen Elefanten, der fast ausnahmslos niemals eine Gelegenheit zum Baden ausl\u00e4\u00dft, und das ist <strong>Bongo<\/strong>. Diesen Monat waren ein paar wilde Bullen regelm\u00e4\u00dfig auf Stippvisite im Stallgel\u00e4nde, und oft in Begleitung des treuen alten Freundes Halbr\u00fcssel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Am 5. Juni, nach einer gef\u00fchlten Ewigkeit, kehrte <strong>Suguta<\/strong> nach Hause, begleitet von <strong>Loijuk<\/strong> und <strong>Madiba<\/strong>. Da\u00df sie ohne ihre Herde auftauchte, deutete darauf hin, da\u00df etwas Schlimmes vorgefallen sein mu\u00dfte, und die Keeper machten sich schnell auf den Weg. Sie selbst hatte ebenfalls zwei Wunden, die eventuell von Giftpfeilen herr\u00fchrten. Dr. Poghon wurde sofort angerufen und nachdem er annahm, da\u00df noch etwas in ihrer Haut oder gar der Lunge steckte, wurden sogar die transportf\u00e4hige R\u00f6ntgenmaschine des Trusts und ein Metalldetektor eingeflogen. Gl\u00fccklicherweise konnte nichts gefunden werden, und <strong>Suguta<\/strong> hat sich vorerst wieder in die Obhut der Keeper begeben. Wir werden wohl nie erfahren, was wirklich mit ihr geschah, aber wir vermuten, da\u00df Wilderer auf der Suche nach Wildfleisch einen Metallspeer nach ihr geworfen haben. Die Wunden waren bis zum Monatsende fast vollst\u00e4ndig verheilt, aber was uns immer noch erstaunt ist, wie sie von ihren Freunden <strong>Madiba<\/strong> und <strong>Loijuk<\/strong> hergebracht wurde, so als wollten sie sicher gehen, da\u00df sie direkt bei den Keepern ankommt, wo sie sich ihrer schnellen Versorgung sicher sein konnten. Zwei Monate war sie mit der halb-ausgewilderten Elefantenwaisengruppe unterwegs gewesen. Nach der Behandlung hatte sie verstanden, da\u00df sie erst einmal wieder nahe am Stallgehege bleiben mu\u00df bis sie wieder v\u00f6llig gesund ist. Das ist nat\u00fcrlich sehr hilfreich f\u00fcr eine gute Nachsorge. Sie kann das Gehege betreten und verlassen, wann immer sie will, ist aber freiwillig wieder eine Stufe zur\u00fcck und in die Obhut der Menschen gegangen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lualeni<\/strong> und ihre Herde Ex-Waisen haben sich den ganzen Monat lang in der N\u00e4he der Waisen herumgetrieben und scheinen Nachwuchs rekrutieren zu wollen. Die Keeper m\u00fcssen daher gut aufpassen, da\u00df ihnen keiner ihrer Sch\u00fctzlinge abhanden kommt. <strong>Lualeni<\/strong> wei\u00df das ganz genau und tut als ob sie \u00fcberhaupt gar kein Interesse an den Babys h\u00e4tte und folgt ihnen \u201eunauff\u00e4llig\u201c mit einigem Abstand. Wilde Bullen haben sich den Ex-Waisen mehrfach angeschlossen, und bei einer g\u00fcnstigen Gelegenheit gelang es ihnen, <strong>Teleki<\/strong> von der Herde wegzulocken. <strong>Teleki<\/strong> braucht noch regelm\u00e4\u00dfig seine Milch, und mit einiger \u00dcberzeugungsarbeit kam er schlie\u00dflich zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Am 15. Juni tauchte endlich der Rest von <strong>Sugutas<\/strong> Herde auf: <strong>Melia<\/strong>, <strong>Tumaren<\/strong>, <strong>Chemi<\/strong> <strong>Chemi<\/strong>, <strong>Kibo<\/strong>, <strong>Kalama<\/strong> und <strong>Kandecha<\/strong>. Nachdem <strong>Suguta<\/strong> einige Tage zuvor verletzt zur\u00fcck gebracht wurde, haben die Keeper sie nat\u00fcrlich erst einmal eingehend nach Verletzungen abgesucht. <strong>Tumaren<\/strong> und <strong>Kandecha<\/strong> hatten kleinere Wunden, die offenbar schon \u00e4lter, da verheilt, waren. Es gab gl\u00fccklicherweise keine Anzeichen f\u00fcr Speer- oder Pfeilspitzen. Die Wunden wurden gereinigt und mit gr\u00fcner Tonerde beschmiert, aber ansonsten brauchten sie keinerlei Behandlung und sahen fantastisch aus!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Am 21. Juni wurden die Ex-Waisen mit wilden Bullen im Schlepptau gesehen, und ein besonders pr\u00e4chtiges Exemplar hatte es eindeutig auf <strong>Kinna<\/strong> abgesehen und es kam zur Paarung. Das zerschmetterte nat\u00fcrlich unsere Theorie, das Kinnda tr\u00e4chtig ist, denn wir dachten, sie h\u00e4tte sich schon im Februar 2013 verpaart. Wir haben jetzt jeden Tag mit Nachwuchs gerechnet und sind ziemlich verwundert, denn ihr Ges\u00e4uge und Bauch waren sichtbar angeschwollen in den letzten Wochen. Aber mit der Zeit wird sich das R\u00e4tsel wohl l\u00fcften. 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Das k\u00fchlere Wetter zu Monatsbeginn bedeutet f\u00fcr die Voi-Waisen, da\u00df das Gras am und um den Mazinga-Berg jetzt besonders lang und saftig ist. Schlammbaden wurde eher nebens\u00e4chlich, aber ab Monatsmitte hatten sie ein paar wundervolle Badestunden mit wilden Elefanten. Am 5. Juni tauchte <strong>Wasessa<\/strong> nach l\u00e4ngerer Abwesenheit auf und wurde von den Zur\u00fcckgebliebenen st\u00fcrmisch begr\u00fc\u00dft, denn sie alle hatten sie furchtbar vermi\u00dft. Nur <strong>Ishaq-B<\/strong>, die inzwischen v\u00f6llig fixiert auf <strong>Bada<\/strong> ist und w\u00e4hrend <strong>Wasessas<\/strong> Abwesenheit die F\u00fcrsorge f\u00fcr <strong>Bada<\/strong> \u00fcbernommen hatte, war wenig begeistert. <strong>Wasessa<\/strong> war auch den Rest des Monats sehr dominant und besch\u00e4ftigte sich haupts\u00e4chlich mit <strong>Bada<\/strong>, um <strong>Ishaq-B<\/strong> auch ja begreiflich zu machen, wer den Hauptanspruch auf das K\u00e4lbchen hatte.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Am 7. Juni hatte <strong>Emilys<\/strong> Herde einen gutaussehenden Bullen dabei, und die Keeper waren sich sicher, da\u00df es sich dabei um <strong>Dika<\/strong> handelte. Der Bulle hatte nur Augen f\u00fcr <strong>Seraa<\/strong>. Abends haben wir uns Archivaufnahmen angeschaut und festgestellt, da\u00df der Bulle nicht <strong>Dika<\/strong> sein konnte, denn <strong>Seraas<\/strong> Verehrer hatte einen abgebrochenen rechten Sto\u00dfzahn, w\u00e4hrend es bei <strong>Dika<\/strong> der Linke war. Weil der Besucher allerdings recht zahm war, nehmen wir trotzdem an, da\u00df es sich um einen unserer Ex-Waisen handelt &#8211; <strong>Ajok<\/strong>, <strong>Olmeg<\/strong>, <strong>Chuma<\/strong> und <strong>Lemonyek<\/strong> kommen durchaus in Frage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Am 10. des Monats kam unser <strong>Laikipia<\/strong> auf eine Stippvisite vorbei, offenbar exklusiv um Layoni zu besuchen. Die beiden stehen sich trotz des gro\u00dfen Altersunterschiedes sehr nah. W\u00e4hrend die Waisen abends alle in ihren St\u00e4llen und Gehegen verschwanden, blieb <strong>Layoni<\/strong> noch bis sp\u00e4t drau\u00dfen mit <strong>Laikipia<\/strong>. Selbst als <strong>Layoni<\/strong> schlie\u00dflich schlafen ging, blieb <strong>Laikipia<\/strong> noch im Stallgel\u00e4nde und kollerte leise vor sich hin. Nach Mitternacht verschwand er schlie\u00dflich wieder im Mantel des Waldes. <strong>Tassia<\/strong> beginnt wie <strong>Wasessa<\/strong>, mehr Zeit mit den Ex-Waisen und wilden Elefanten zu verbringen. Wann immer die wilden Artgenossen in der N\u00e4he sind, mischt er sich unter sie und will gar nicht mehr in die Waisengruppe zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eine sehr zahme, wilde Elefantenkuh kam eines Tages mit ihren beiden K\u00e4lbern ins Stallgel\u00e4nde und schon am n\u00e4chsten Tag mit ihrer gesamten Herde. Sie schienen sehr zufrieden und sich im Stallgel\u00e4nde ungemein wohlzuf\u00fchlen. Nachdem sie an der Tr\u00e4nke ihren Durst gestillt und sich noch 20 Minuten entspannt hatten, zogen sie gem\u00e4chlich weiter. Ab Monatsmitte hatten unsere Waisen t\u00e4glich Kontakt zu wilden Elefantenherden, meistens, weil diese ins Stallgl\u00e4nde zum Saufen kamen. Am 16. Juni vormittags trafen sie an der Tr\u00e4nke eine wilde Herde, wenig sp\u00e4ter grasten sie mit einer anderen Herde im Park. <strong>Mudanda<\/strong> w\u00e4re am liebsten gleich mit der Gruppe mitgezogen, aber <strong>Lempaute<\/strong> hielt sie erfolgreich von ihrem Vorhaben ab. <strong>Rombo<\/strong> und <strong>Mzima<\/strong> dagegen blieben noch ein paar Stunden bei der wilden Herde, w\u00e4hrend der Rest ihrer Gruppe schon zum mitt\u00e4glichen Schlammbad aufbrach. Schon am n\u00e4chsten Tag, dieses Mal abends, kamen zwei wilde Herden mit den Waisen ins Stallgel\u00e4nde. Es war sch\u00f6n zu beobachten, wie sie den Ablauf in der Station und die Rolle der Keeper zu verstehen schienen. Am 21. kamen weitere Herden, eine mit zwei kleinen Babys, und schon am n\u00e4chsten Tag kam eine Elefantenkuh mit ihren beiden K\u00e4lbern zum Saufen &#8211; eines davon muss gerade erst geboren sein, so winzig war es. Die Waisen waren zu dieser Zeit noch in ihren St\u00e4llen, beobachteten das Baby aber von da aus mit riesigen Augen. Auch zur mitt\u00e4glichen Badestunde gab es einige wundervolle Begegnungen, besonders wenn die wilden Herden Nachwuchs dabei haben. Am 24. Juni trieben es <strong>Wasessa<\/strong> und <strong>Sinya<\/strong> mit ihrer Baby-Passion ein bi\u00dfchen zu weit und lockten ein K\u00e4lbchen von seiner Herde weg. Als die Mutter und Tanten bemerkten, was vor sich ging, wurden sie stinksauer und stellten sich eng um die Waisen. <strong>Mzima<\/strong> hat noch versucht, seine beiden Freundinnen zu verteidigen, aber die wilden K\u00fche duldeten keine Widerrede und holten sich ihr K\u00e4lbchen zur\u00fcck. <strong>Lensaju<\/strong> reagierte sehr verantwortungsbewu\u00dft und brachte die Waisen schnell ins Stallgel\u00e4nde zur\u00fcck, bevor es zu weiteren Auseinandersetzungen kam. Am 26. Juni wurden die Voi-Keeper zur Rettung eines K\u00e4lbchens gerufen, das in eines der tiefen Wasserl\u00f6cher neben der Mombasa-Wasserleitung gefallen war. Sowohl die Mutter als auch die Herde waren ganz in der N\u00e4he geblieben, was gut war, aber gleichzeitig die Bergung erschwerte. Die Station ist mittlerweile einer der Lieblingsorte sowohl f\u00fcr die Elefanten als auch f\u00fcr die Keeper geworden. In diesem Jahr kamen unsere Albino-Bullen <strong>Jasiri<\/strong> und <strong>Faraja<\/strong> zusammen mit <strong>Ngasha<\/strong> hinzu, und erst vor Kurzem zogen <strong>Balguda<\/strong> und <strong>Ziwa<\/strong> ein. Es freut uns, wie gut dieser Ort von den Elefanten angenommen wurde.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Auch die Interaktionen mit den wilden Elefanten sind interessant zu verfolgen: am Anfang kamen die wilden Besucher lediglich nachts, inzwischen auch tags\u00fcber, da sich die Dickh\u00e4uter an diese Menschen gew\u00f6hnt haben, die die Waisen immer und \u00fcberall hin begleiten. Am 1. Juni hielten die Waisen ihre R\u00fcssel in die Luft und gerade als die Keeper sich wunderten, was sie da wohl witterteten, tauchte ein sch\u00f6ner, wilder Elefantenbulle aus dem Wald auf. <strong>Lima Lima<\/strong> st\u00fcrzte nat\u00fcrlich gleich los, um ihn zu begr\u00fc\u00dfen, w\u00e4hrend <strong>Sonje<\/strong> und <strong>Murera<\/strong> sich eher ruhig verhielten. Es dauerte nicht lange und der Bulle bemerkte die Keeper und drehte sich postwendend um, um im Dickicht zu verschwinden. Am 4. Juni trafen sie auf einen anderen, riesigen Bullen und <strong>Lima Lima<\/strong> warnte schnell die Keeper, die sich sogleich in Sicherheit brachten. Dieses Mal war es <strong>Jasiri<\/strong>, der den Erstkontakt aufnahm und der Gr\u00f6\u00dfenunterschied war beeindruckend! Der Bulle blieb nicht sehr lange, wahrscheinlich hatte er Angst vor den menschlichen Begleitern. Aber es gibt keinen Zweifel daran, das die Kibwezi-Waisen immer selbstbewu\u00dfter werden. Schon am 8. Juni gab es die n\u00e4chste Begegnung, dieses Mal mit einer wilden Herde im Wald. Die gleiche Herde wartete ein paar Tage sp\u00e4ter geduldig vor der Suhle bis die Waisen ihr Mittagsbad beendet hatten.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quanza<\/strong> entwickelt inzwischen zusehendst Vertrauen zu den Menschen. Sie hat als Baby mit ansehen m\u00fcssen, wie ihre Familie brutal von Wilderern get\u00f6tet wurde. Es hat lange gedauert, bis sie \u00fcberhaupt die Anwesenheit von Menschen akzeptiert hat, aber mittlerweile sucht sie sogar aktiv den Kontakt zu den Keepern oder Besuchern. <strong>Zongoloni<\/strong> wurde ein wenig von <strong>Balguda<\/strong> ausgebootet, der jetzt von <strong>Murera<\/strong> und <strong>Sonje<\/strong> verg\u00f6ttert wird. Sie besch\u00fctzen ihn auch sehr vor den st\u00fcrmischen Jungbullen <strong>Faraja<\/strong> und <strong>Ngasha<\/strong>. <strong>Ziwa<\/strong> gedeiht ganz pr\u00e4chtig und scheint sehr gl\u00fccklich in seinem neuen Zuhause. <strong>Faraja<\/strong>, <strong>Jasiri<\/strong> und <strong>Ngasha<\/strong> entwickeln sich ebenfalls sehr gut und manchmal mu\u00df man sie ein wenig zur\u00fcckhalten, denn sie k\u00f6nnen ihre Kr\u00e4fte noch nicht einsch\u00e4tzen und werden dann auch ein bi\u00dfchen rabiat. <strong>Lima<\/strong> <strong>Lima<\/strong> hat von allen den menschlichsten Charakter. Sie ist immer sehr besch\u00e4ftigt, und bei allen Aktivit\u00e4ten ganz vorne mit dabei. Au\u00dferdem ist sie sehr besch\u00fctzerisch gegen\u00fcber den Keepern und gibt ihnen immer sofort bescheid, wenn sie einen Elefanten oder B\u00fcffel
